The redevelopment of the Cormorant Hotel in the village of Golant, overlooking the Fowey Estuary in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The proposal consists of 9 detached residencies that break down the existing volume into a series of smaller forms, six to the north and three to the south. A palette of natural stone, brick with slurry wash, timber boarding and slate roofs stems from the context and is detailed in a contemporary manner.

Delivered by Lara Karady in collaboration with Mador Architects.
